Links to the Aveyron Tourist Information Sites.

Although the aveyron is the 5th largest department in France it has remained largely undiscovered and so retains it's rural charm and traditions. There is a great feeling of space with huge valleys and wonderful winding roads. It is incredably peaceful with a population of 30 people per square kilometer.
The Aveyron also boasts 10 of "les plus beaux villages de France" this is more than any other department in France.
Here are just a couple of them:-

St Come d'Olt - On the route of the Saint Jacques trail to Santiago de Compostella (also has a very nice bakery where you can have coffee)

Estaing - at the entrance to the Lot gorges, and at the foot of the Aubrac mountains

I will be adding links to Aveyron tourist information sites but here is one to start with:-
